Bruce Jr., though a plumber by trade, did not have the same dreams as his father and grandfather had. Bruce Jr. wanted to grow the plumbing business to a further dimension. After high school, he attended Drexel University and studied Construction Management. When Bruce Jr. finished college he went after his
true dream and on March 29, 1994 he purchased Century Kitchens & Bathrooms from long time family friend and business partner Jack Klinger.
Bruce Jr. started out as the company's sole kitchen and bath designer, sales person, expediter, and general contractor. The only thing Bruce Jr. wasn't doing was the plumbing and the carpentry. He was consistently running three crews of carpenters out of the showroom to keep up with the amount of business that was being generated. The first few years were not easy and consisted of many long hard hours. Bruce Jr. worked his way through the
difficult moments and successfully built his company up to the level he wanted it to be. Today, he acts as the General Contractor and Site Supervisor. He still runs three crews, has an expeditor and bookkeeper, a receptionist and a kitchen and bath designer all on staff. Bruce Engel Jr. is on the Mid Atlantic Board of Directors for the NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association).
